The Classroom
I’ve had the privilege of teaching in many locations around North Kitsap over the past few years, which is represented in the variety of photos you’ll see on the website. RED DOG training now has a permanent home! I am so thrilled to be offering classes in this amazing new space. It has been a dream for years to be able to offer a high quality training environment to the community and it’s finally here. The classroom space is 40x56 and is outfitted in 3/4 in rubber flooring. The large garage doors provide a convertible space when weather is cooperative but can be closed in during our wet and windy days. The classroom is a multipurpose space used for one on one lessons, agility foundations, and group classes.
The Agility Arena
In addition to the classroom space, there is also a 70x135 outdoor agility arena. The arena footing is a mix of carpet fiber, rubber, and sand to provide safe footing for our canine athletes. This space is for upper level agility foundations and for dogs putting together coursework. Intro classes take place in the classroom. The classroom space is also used for advanced dogs on wet or windy days. No need to cancel for the weather!
The Barn
Last but not least, there is the barn hunt space! This is a converted 7 stall horse barn that now houses 2 ring built to barn hunt association standards. The larger ring set at 24x30 is sized for masters and crazy 8’s. The small ring is set at 22x22 and is sized for instinct, novice, open, and senior. The flooring is rolled rubber mats for dog’s safety jumping on an off straw bales. Those who are interested in training are encouraged and welcome to come observe a lesson and tour the facility.
