Then you have come to the right place! Agility is my absolute favorite sport and my go-to way to play with my dogs. Agility is a physical and fast paced team sport that is challenging for both the dog and the handler. Courses consist of a series of jumps, tunnels, weaves, and contacts. Lessons not only teach the dog how to complete these obstacles but also teaches the handler how to be an effective teammate. The sport of agility is all about communication, trust, and connection. I am an active competitor in both AKC and UKI agility and lessons are focused on skills/foundations necessary for competition. group classes
Group agility classes are set at 50 minutes long and run for 6 weeks. These classes are geared toward dogs who are proficient on all contacts and are working on putting 4-6 obstacles together. Please see one on one coaching for intro and foundation skills. All dogs must be neutral to other dogs with 5-10 feet of space, have a basic recall, and are motivated by food or toys when training. An AKC CGC is highly advised but not required.
one on one coaching
One on one coaching is available in 25 minute increments and is customizable for the skill level of the dog/handler. All dogs must be neutral to other dogs with 10-15 feet of space, have a basic recall, and are motivated by food or toys when training. A group class or CGC is highly advisable before starting agility but is not mandatory. If you are unsure if your dog is ready, please reach out to alanna@reddog-training.com before booking.
